Artist Bio
Brian Ellis is a director, writer, artist, and designer with extensive experience in the entertainment and toy industries.
He began his career in 2003 at The LEGO Company as a designer and concept artist, working on iconic franchises such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, Batman, Bionicle, and Ninjago. Since 2008, Brian has worked as a Creative Consultant, contributing to projects across toys, animation, and film.
Brian's storytelling expertise spans multiple mediums, including graphic novels—such as Ross Wellington—and 3D animation, where he worked as a story artist and director at Sweden's Sir Lancelot Animation Studio. In 2016, he made his live-action debut with VESTIGE, a cinematic proof-of-concept ad campaign he created and co-directed for The LEGO Agency.
Most recently, Brian has bridged the worlds of toys and storytelling as a Development Artist for Spin Master Entertainment, contributing to PAW Patrol: The Movie (2021) and several animated series in development for Netflix.
Brian and his partner live in Los Angeles with their growing family of fur babies: a Bull Terrier named Jack Burton and four cats—Momo, Dumpling, Wiley, and Russell.
